£500,000 LOTTERY FUNDING FOR NEW VILLAGE HALL.

New Village Hall 3

Mareham Le Fen is the proud recipient of £500,000 funding from The Big Lottery’s Reaching Communities Building Programme towards the building of a new village hall.

The new Village Hall will provide a modern, up to date facility, to be built in Horncastle Road and will replace the existing hall on Main Street, erected in 1919. The village has grown over the last 96 years, as has the use of the much loved hall. This new hall will provide a larger and more flexible building that will accommodate many social, leisure and recreational activities, both indoor and out, suitable for all ages and will provide for the future needs of our growing community.
The Village Hall trustees have, for many years, worked tirelessly on this project for the benefit of the community and surrounding area. Now, with grants from The Big Lottery, East Lindsey District Council and Lincolnshire County Council, the new Village Hall is in sight. We still have more funds to raise but it is anticipated that building work is expected to start late 2016.
